When this trip works

Two regions have to agree here, so the window is narrower than either alone. February and March are clearly best. October and November are wet in both the triangle and the hills: the rock is still climbable first thing and the temple does not care about rain, but you would be trading the long views for a quiet, cheap and very green version of the same route.

October — mixed, worth a conversation

It is October now, and this route reads mixed this month.

Who this is for

  • First visitors testing the island before committing to a longer trip

And who it is not

  • Anyone who wants a beach: reaching the coast from Kandy adds a day in the van and this route deliberately refuses it
  • Travellers hoping for wildlife, which needs the dry-zone parks and at least two more nights

Included

  • Private vehicle and driver-guide throughout
  • Four nights accommodation
  • Daily breakfast and three dinners
  • Tea factory visit (day 4)
  • All entrance fees marked included above
  • Airport transfers both ways

Not included

  • International flights
  • Travel insurance
  • Visa or ETA
  • Lunches

Make it yours

This is a starting shape, not a fixed departure. The changes people ask for most:

  • Swap the Kandy nights for Nuwara Eliya if tea country matters more than the temple
  • Add two nights at the coast to turn this into the seven-night loop
