Treatment, dentistry or a check-up, with the country around it
These trips cover planned procedures, two-stage dentistry, health screenings and longer Ayurveda stays. Each is built backwards from the clinical calendar, with a nearby base and genuinely empty recovery days. We arrange travel around the treatment; we do not provide treatment or medical advice.
The one travelling for treatment rather than for the view
You have a procedure booked at a private hospital in Colombo, or a course of implants that needs two sittings, or a screening you have been putting off for three years, or two to three weeks of Ayurveda because a fortnight is the only length at which it does anything. You are here partly because the same work at home costs several times as much, and you are not embarrassed about that. Either way the clinical calendar comes first and the island comes second. You want a driver who will wait, a room twenty minutes from the doctor, a companion looked after on treatment days, and days afterwards with nothing in them.
What people come for
- Travel arranged around a hospital or clinic date rather than the other way round
- Treatment that costs a fraction of what it costs at home, at hospitals used to foreign patients
- Somewhere quiet and close by to recover, and a driver on call
- A companion who is looked after during treatment days
- A long enough Ayurveda course to be worth doing, at a centre with resident doctors
And who it is not for
- Travellers wanting a hotel spa weekend; that is a different trip and most of our routes already include one
- Anyone expecting us to recommend a surgeon, a dentist or a course of treatment: we arrange the travel, your own doctor decides the medicine
- Anyone who has not yet been given a date and a written quote by a clinic, because there is nothing to build a trip around until that exists
Medical and Wellness trips are on the way
These trips are quoted rather than packaged, because the length depends on what your clinic says and the dates depend on when they can see you. Tell us the procedure, the dentistry or the therapy and roughly when, and we will come back with a plan and a cost.
